Oshrat Hershkovitz-Rokah, Ph.D.
Head, Translational Research Laboratory, Assuta Medical Center, Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Dr. Oshrat Hershkovitz-Rokah is a translational scientist specializing in non-coding RNAs and epigenetic regulation in hematological malignancies. She leads the Hematology Translational Research Laboratory at Assuta Medical Center in Tel Aviv. Her research focuses on identifying disease mechanisms and biomarkers and translating them into clinically meaningful applications.
Her laboratory is deeply committed to studying the epigenetic landscape of several rare hematologic neoplasms, including histiocytosis, AL amyloidosis, mantle cell lymphoma, and Ph-like acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In recognition of her significant contributions to the field, Dr. Rokah received the Excellence Award for Research in Rare Diseases in 2024.
Beyond the laboratory, she is actively engaged in patient advocacy and global research collaborations. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Erdheim-Chester Disease Global Alliance (ECDGA), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving care and advancing research for histiocytic neoplasms. She has also contributed to national health policy by supporting the inclusion of targeted therapies as first-line treatment for histiocytic neoplasms in Israel's national health basket.
Through her scientific leadership, mentorship, and dedication to international collaboration, Dr. Rokah is committed to improving outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies – particularly those with rare, difficult-to-diagnose, and hard-to-treat diseases.
